Dear Friend,

 

Greetings from the Waterville Area Cultural History Center!  Much is happening at the museum, and we couldn’t be happier with our progress.  Here are just a few highlights:

 

• We met our challenge grant goal and received matching funds from the Harold Alfond Foundation.  A big thank you to all who contributed to this success!

• We have expanded our programming and community activities and Jessica Couture, our Outreach Coordinator, is busy fulfilling research queries, conducting tours, and hosting group events.

• Kudos to the Central Maine Garden Club – our grounds have never looked better!

• We are receiving positive feedback on our monthly history talks, which have featured items from our collection and have been very well attended.

• We have revived our Facebook page, and our social media traffic is on the upswing.

• We initiated an exciting new historical signage project and are partnering with numerous community groups to bring this to fruition.

• We are endeavoring to expand our educational outreach activities and look forward to sharing developments on this effort in the near future.

• We are pleased to welcome nine new board members from the community and are confident that with their leadership and guidance we will achieve our strategic goals.

 

Please know that we are in need of your financial support in order to continue celebrating the rich history and culture of our community, and as such we invite you to renew your membership for the 2025 calendar year.  Enclosed is a summary of the many benefits that you enjoy as a member of the Waterville Area Cultural History Center.  We invite you to join us at our open house on Saturday, January 25th from 1:00-3:00pm (snow date January 26th).
